The wonder of a snowflake, landing on your mitten, . From the heavens, a tiny work of art. On close inspection… perfection, yet so fragile…gone in an instant. Can a single snowflake close roads off, create snow days, snow angels, snowmen, snowballs, blanket your nights in silence? Although amazing by itself, and creating only short moments of awe, without other snowflakes these events never come to pass. A reminder of how wondrous and fragile life is compared to the grand scheme of things, and also how insignificant unless touched by others. We were not born unto this world alone, nor without the knowledge of how life is but an instant. Yet we still live irreverent of people, and the fragility of our own life.
Last night I was in line at a Michaels, and a woman cut in front of me. When I finally got to the checker she said, “I’m sorry did that woman cut in front of you?” My reply, “No big deal, I’m not in a rush after all my ultimate destination is not checking out, walking to my car, driving home, and setting up my christmas tree…It is actually death, and i am grateful being right here, right now, in my present and my gift.”
“I can see I created some ah ha moments last night with the fellow shoppers, which I live for…I love to make people think, make a difference…and leaving Snow Angels behind.” ~ Julia A Drew-Renfro
